Chyrond, one of the five round house built by parson Trist in the early 19th century for his farm workers, was for most of its life to date occupied by people working on the land. This part of Cornwall was and still is wonderful grazing. With the mechanisation of farming, the numbers so working dramatically reduced and so since the 1960’s Chyrond has provided the setting for some wonderful holidays. This photograph is a wonderful piece of social history and reminder of what was.
